I was privileged to be invited to a friends wedding in India during the first few days of 2014. To make a holiday out of it, we first arrived in the sprawling city of Delhi and travelled from there to Agra, “The City of Love”. My wife, whilst wandering the grounds of the Taj Mahal alone during a previous trip to India, had promised herself that one day she would return with her soulmate by her side. That soulmate turned out to be me…we also shared the experience with our 2 year old boy and baby bump, who is arriving this Spring.
After the hectic hustle and bustle of the big city, we went on to Goa for for a few days to relax before our arrival in Bangalore for the wedding. What a wonderful ceremony an Indian wedding is! Full of vibrant colour, silks, mirrors, sequins, amazing dance routines, uplifting music, cascades of flowers, and larger than life characters. Ultimately, as with all wedding’s, it’s about LOVE. All weddings, large or small, lavish, or simple and understated, are unique and so very special. A Wedding marks the beginning of the most exciting chapter of a bride and groom’s journey, and it is always truly wonderful to be a part of it.
